memes have its own effect on society from internet, memes is a ancient Greek word. memes have its own sense of humour , it describes day to day activities which people can relate and it is transformed in to a entertaining post or meme for instance memes are entertaining, interactive and funny. memes can be a reason to start a conversion on internet where everyone can participate. one of the type of meme is political where memer can make a meme on government bodies. memes are posted on internet in the form of photos, videos , text and gif. in 1976 oxford biologist rochard sawking creates the term “memes” as units of cultural transmission. memes are like genes it is transferred generation by generation. memes can be social, political and almost it can be on any topic around the world which needs to be communicated furthermore memes are used for propoganda. internet is a global enviorment where one can creativily create a meme to start a commmunicating on a particular topic. different groups like different kind of memes. memes are entertaining that can go viral on internet.

meme are forms of art and it can be way of communication. people also express their emotions through memes.

algorithms

algorithms is a tool which is used to show anything in the search bar while u are typing it will show you different subjects which related to your search by words. it is also used for advertisement and to make a topic visible on search bar for instance if one searches for on google black shoes it will also show me the online stores and prices to shop and next time search bar will show the same. in social media if we search a particular topic it will start showing the feeds of that topic also the topic we follow on social media and pages. algorithm is basically our data which is analyzed to show the topic which is trending or what we like regarding our search history. google, facebook , instagram and twitter uses algorithm to know us better so that they can show one likes and as a result they search more or just ignore it. algorithms is made by our searching history furthermore algorithm are used by google facebook and twitter can control the content we see or just use it for advertisement or branding on social media and internet. for example if one person is going somewhere who uses google maps to reach destination next time the location will be saved and it will show nearby places for dinner and other things. if someone shops something by internet or just search for it it will show all the online stores with price everytime in the search bar same happens with any topic like news and entertainment.

hashtags

hashtags can make a content or a big message viral like “black lives matter”. hashtags have been a reason for social change. hashtags takes places on social media platform like twitter, facebook, instagram. if one knows how to use hashtags they can make their content viral on any platform. hashtags are used to engage audience and do powerful marketing most importantly it can also grow social impact. for example one posts a selfie in starcucks london and put a hashtag like #starbuckslondon it will be discoverable to similar groups. hashtags have a powerful impact on social media.

hashtags play a important role to make community and as a community every person of the community uses same hashtags for example #Blacklivesmatter. hashtags more came to light after twitter came in 2006. twitter have a section section which is called trending in which one particular community can make a topic trending by using the same hashtags.
